What We Do
The Psychology, Education, & Family Centre offer many services
PEFC provides services to individuals who may be experiencing a range of different concerns. This includes, but is not limited to:
Therapy for adults (18+):
– Relationship Difficulties, Couples Therapy, Parenting Challenges (Including New Parent Support), And Family Challenges.
– Anxiety, Stress, Worry
– Specific Phobia
– Positive Psychology and Self-Exploration
– Depression and Low Mood
– Skill Building (Communication, Coping, Emotional Regulation, Problem Solving, Social Skills)
Assessments for children, adolescents, and adults:
– Intellectual Disability Assessment/Intellectual Ability Assessment
– Specific Learning Disorder (Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia) Assessment
– Giftedness Assessment
Groups and Workshops:
– New Parent Support Groups
– Circle of Security Parenting Courses
– Circle of Security Classroom Approach Professional Development for Educators
What We Don't Do
These are some areas that we currently do not work with
PEFC does not provide the following services:
– Therapy To Those Under 18 Years Of Age For New Referrals
– Substance Use Disorders
-Court/Legal Reports Or Forensic Cases
– WorkCover Clients
– Severe Psychiatric Conditions
– Court Mandated Counselling
– Emergency Response
*As we are a private practice we do not have the resources to support adults requiring a high level of assistance or who are high risk at our clinic.
